Here with my squirrel-mentality and must-have-coffee sickness. I often lose sight. I picture my Jesus looking down just palm to face a lot.
Yet, instead our loving Father says, “Weary one, tired one, ashamed one, burdened one, Come as you are“ (Isaiah 55:1). It has hurt Him to see you feeling unseen, overlooked, and never heard. Not only is He near to the broken hearted as Psalms tell us. He bore it; He carried our sin. The weight of the world just fell upon Him. He knows, and it breaks His heart to see it falling down on you, dear friend.
Yesterday, I asked the Lord to speak truth over any of these lies that I have kept in my heart or allowed to govern my view. With that I turned to scripture to meditate on Who He says I am. (Ephesians 1)
Completely known.
Completed loved.
Accepted.
Worthy.
Chosen.
His.
When we choose to live abundantly here in His love and choose to stay on the lookout for Jesus in our midst,we create an inward sanctuary in our hearts.
We are able to combat any of the lies the enemy whispers to us.
If you have been around me for any extended period of time, you know I carry my camera with me pretty much everywhere. By no means am I a photographer, but I do love the concept of capturing God’s beauty especially in the unseen, the unnoticed, and the unappreciated.
God gives us people to remind us of His tenderness, remember His truth, and experience His care. Our sweet, Spirit-filled surfer of a ministry host, Hannah, made envelopes with each of our names written on them. She urged us to go on a “God hunt” daily taking the time to notice Jesus in those around us. Not to let our minds wander to the places of inadequacy based on comparison which the enemy loves to plant, but instead to marvel at Jesus in them by acknowledging the beauty He created.
He shows His beauty through each soul so uniquely and beautifully (Hence, why people are my favorite to capture). Never be distracted by the ministry and worship of others. God’s relationship with you is so divine and perfectly fit together for you and Him.
The most powerful thing we can do today is to decide
where we fix our eyes.
Fix them on Jesus, and I promise He will make His love such a staple for you and give you an abundance of overflow that you will not be able to help but notice Him in all things.
1 John 2:15-17 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in Him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. The world passes away, but He that doeth the will of God abideth forever.”
Jesus, I yearn to notice YOU in all things.
Notice the unseen
Notice the little things
Notice the needs
Notice the beauty and resilience in those around me
Notice life in the most lifeless of situations
Notice You
May my speech bring nothing apart from life and hope.
May my life be a constant hunt to see You in ALL things.
Your Beloved, Kel
Well, I absolutely loved and was convicted by this! Yes, our head noise and the lies of the enemy can be quite loud. The Word of God is powerful in shutting down the lies. Thanks for the clear reminder as our distractions can be very distracting and polarizing. So appreciate you.
