Psalm 139:23-24  ”Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.“

I love asking God to search my heart every morning. I ask, “Father, how does my heart look today?“

Even if I laid every bit of it at His feet yesterday, here, I find myself consumed by or getting flustered by something of today. Recently I did a study on the life of the beloved disciple, John. The one thing that struck a chord with me of this beloved disciple was Beth Moore’s statement, “He laid down selfish ambition for Godly affection.” I ask myself how often my actions stem from a pure heart of service and adoration. Would I be boasting the same if I did not have a community to share the revelation of Our Father’s goodness? What if this race would bring death or even banishment as it did for each of the disciples? Would I still be boasting, praising, and proclaiming?

Community, travel, and testifying are all such blessings. But, when our Father’s Love acts as our compelling force is when true transformation begins. Let’s not forget the reason for this Race. That reason being for our relationship with Our Father to grow deeper and deeper. We can never get deep enough. His Love is as vast as the ocean. It is revealed to me in a new light daily. My heart’s prayer is that we get excited over the Spirit’s leading rather than merely our moving.

I love to write to my Father. The jumbled mess that is in my head just surfaces better with paper. With that I am truly undeserving of the opportunity presented this past week at training to be a ‘Storyteller’ for my team. This is an internship with World Race in which I am in the Field Writer Position. Therefore, I will be blogging here weekly starting now. I would love for you to subscribe and come along for the journey!

Here is the thing. This is not my story to tell. I am a mere voice proclaiming the story of My Creator.

HIS story that He is creating beautifully through each one of my teammates.

HIS story that He reveals to the lost and hurting heart bringing them to the kingdom.

HIS story that all of creation just undeniably tells of this goodness.

HIS story that He continually pursues the broken, wounded, and outcast.

His story that He relentlessly offers such grace.

I want you to be a part of HIS story too! It is completely outside of myself, my team, and even Adventures in Missions.

It is a story of a loving Father pursuing His precious children.

If you find yourself here reading this. Let’s praise HIS NAME. Drop a comment below telling of HOW GOOD our GOD is!

  1. Beautiful writing. It caused me to more deeply ponder my relationship with God and the duty to fully follow God’s call.
