With every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God.

Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him.”

I completely oblige to being one of those annoying morning people. I just can’t help but love the mornings! I look forward to the precious moments of just sitting at my Savior’s feet.

“For from YOU are all things

To YOU are all things

YOU deserve the glory”

It is day 38, and I still am in awe. I am in awe over our Father’s goodness and just the fact that He deems me worthy to be used. (He deems you worthy too, my friend!)

We are approaching the last full week we have in Jaco before debrief with our entire squad! Two teams from our squad have been serving in the jungles of Los Chiles while the other 5 of our teams have been here in Jaco.

Honestly, we have been on a mountain top here in Jaco. Clean water, indoor showers, coffee, and many things we thought we would be without. We have been blessed so immensely by our Father. “Blessed to be a Blessing“, as my pastor would say. Our ministry host, Hannah, housed all of us this past month and a half. She is the definition of a mighty warrior for the Kingdom. The Father’s truth and love spills out of her so effortlessly. Then, Richard has been pouring into us daily with devotions in regards to spiritual warfare sharing with us much from the passage of Ephesians 6 (putting on the whole armor of God).

“Jesus, Jesus you make the darkness tremble.”

In the midst of the enemy heavily at work here God is moving and working!

I came into this race with open hands. I think it is important to come into each day in such a manner. Each morning I sit down with the Father with my hands held wide-open in front of me. This physical posture helps me to refocus and remember what a precious gift every day given is. I relinquish the control I so desperately want to keep over how I think my day should look. Now with this being said as the day goes ..I sense those hands at times creeping into fists, but then I go back to the sweet morning remembering, God; He does not need us, but He wants us and loves us. How can we not just live with hands wide-open?!

The King of Heaven wants us, friends!

In saying that we have done a lot of things that we were not able to see the immediate impact or seemed to be little to no point to it at all. Our ministry days have been Tuesday-Friday, 9am-5pm. These days have looked like the following: various park cleanups, painted (many many) murals, pulled weeds, shoveled dirt, cleaned storage rooms, helped with beach clean up, hung out with the youth at church, made friends with the locals.

DIOS ES BUENA

Despite the seemingly, meaningless tasks some days may have held, the Father’s love has deeply been felt for Jaco.

This is what we are here for! We are here to showcase HIS LOVE regardless what it looks like, how uncomfortable it is, or how we feel.

While we will be leaving Jaco in 7 days, we still claim the Lord’s Banner of Love over this place.

I ask that you would join me in prayer over Jaco and over H-Squad as we journey onto our next destination (will be sharing more information soon)!

We pray for the Lord’s Presence to continue to pour out over Jaco.

We pray for Horizon Church; We pray for God to continue to bless and grow their ministry.

We pray for the sweet Love of our Father to pour over the women and men of Jaco.

We pray for Hanna and Oceans Edge ministry to be blessed and to be a continual safe haven.

We pray for there to be a lasting impact of love from the Father planted here that never dwindles.

As for our team, I see us being on a spiritual mountain peak this month. We have flooded our place of residence with worship and prayer. We have been reminded daily of the amazing love the Father has toward us.

I pray that as we continue on and when we come to those valleys low (maybe month 3/4) that we are still singing “HALLELUJAH” to our Father as loud as we were on those mountain peaks!

Father, again, I say we are here for YOU.

ALL PRAISE, HONOR, AND GLORY TO YOUR NAME ALONE

on the mountain peaks high

and through the valleys low.

Your Beloved, Kel
